Film photographer Detained for ‘raping’ aspiring actress
A still photographer was arrested here today for allegedly raping and a aspiring actress on the pretext of getting an integral part in a film, authorities said.
Jinson Lonappan was arrested based on a complaint by the woman, a dental practitioner in her early 20s, he’d mistreated her and had taken Rs 33 lakh for ensuring a function in the movie, they added.
Lonappan, who has worked as a assistant still photographer to get a Malayalam film, was charged under IPC sections associated with rape, and criminal breach of trust and cheating.
The incident occurred in March and also the woman approached the authorities yesterday after realising she was being cheated with Lonappan.
