After the arrest of Malayalam celebrity Dileep in connection the job in advance on two of his films has come to a sudden end, say industry sources.

The release of his movie ‘Ramleela’, which was slated for this month, appears to have been postponed and become unclear, sources say.

“Ramleela” is Dileep’s large budget film created by Tomichan Mulakupadam, whose Mohanlal-starrer “Pulimurugan” became the first Malayalam movie to cross the Rs 100-crore mark.

“Kammara Sambhavam”, whose 80 percent shooting has been finished, is just another movie that could now be postponed, say sources.

The shooting at “Professor Dinkan” has just started and with Dileep currently in a legal case, people behind this partnership also may need to suffer losses.

That’s not all. Individuals who borrow movie CDs of films from video shops also have dumped his films.

“I was in a movie store yesterday and when the owner said that Dileep’s most current movie ‘Georgechettans Poorem’ CDs can be found, I believed that I shouldn’t see it and took another CD instead. The store owner said that his many customers now refuse to lease out a Dileep movie,” a school teacher, who did not want to be identified, told IANS.

There were A TV channels slated to broadcast Dileep’s films, but are understood to have transformed these in the last minute after his arrest for fear of losing the channels’ evaluations.

Has been the third celebrity in the Malayalam movie industry after Mammootty and Mohanlal, but in the number one place he stood as manufacturer of films and possesses a string of multiplexes.

He has been remanded in judicial custody for 14 days since Monday night.
