November Movies 2017: Top 10 Must-See New Film Releases

November has finally arrived and while the principal thing on everyone’s mind this month will be Thanksgiving coming up soon, Hollywood is working up some pretty amazing movies within this month! Not only are we getting huge releases such as the long gestating and highly expected  Justice League and the next installment in the Thor franchise Thor: Ragnarok; but we are also getting our initial glimpses at potential upcoming Oscar nominees together with  Lady Deadly  and   Phone Me By Your Name.  

November’s record of movies is ready to kick off the Holiday movie going season using an eclectic and fascinating lineup of movies to watch. From psychological horror thrillers such as, The Annals of a Holy Deer, and raunchy comedies such as the forthcoming sequel, a poor Mother’s Christmas there is definitely a movie for everybody coming out this month!

10. A Bad Mother’s Christmas

The “bad mothers” in the hit 2016 film, Bad Mothers, return to the large screen to put on the greatest holiday in a mom’s life… Christmas. While attempting to please their own mothers, the “Bad Mothers” will once again rebel and take back Christmas “badly”.


9. Thor: Ragnarok

Thor’s back and now he’s lost his hammer, lost in space along with the literal queen of Hell has climbed to shoot Asgard for her very own. 8. The Killing of a Deer

Writer and director, Yorgos Lanthimos, returns to the monitor along with his follow up to his somewhat crucial 2015 film, The Lobster, for this highly stylized, unsettling and fascinating horror film, The Killing of a Holy Deer. Following the narrative of a physician (Farrell) who befriends a young unstable patient who begins to weave his way into the surgeon’s lifetime.


7. Lady Bird

Starring: Saoirse Ronan, Laurie Metcalf, Tracy Letts, Lucas Hedges, Timothée Chalamet

Release Date: November 3rd, 2017

Written and directed by Greta Gerwig, in her directorial debut, comes a comedy-drama partially inspired by her actual life. Tired of her life in California and desperate to go to New York (where there’s “culture”), Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson decides to live her life that the only way she knows how…by being true to herself.


6. Murder on the Orient Express

Starring: Kenneth Branagh, Daisy Ridley, Michele Pfeiffer, Johnny Depp, Judi Dench

Based on the traditional Agatha Christie novel of the identical title, Murder on the Orient Express tells the story of a single detective attempting to solve the murder aboard the Orient Express train. With everybody on board a defendant it is up to the world’s best detective, Detective Poirot, to address the murder board before the killer strikes again.


5. Daddy’s House Two

Starring: May Farrell, Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, Jon Voight

Mark Wahlberg and Will Farrell team up again once more with this sequel to the 2015 movie, Daddy’s Home. Picking up following the events of the first movie, Daddy’s House two  will pit the two grandfathers of each family together. With Mel Gibson playing Mark Wahlberg’s dad and Jon Voight playing Can Farrell’s father, this movie will sure to have some gut busting laughs!


4. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Place nine months following her daughter has been murdered, Mildred Hayes (McDormand) decides to rent three billboards to pity the local police division for never grabbing her daughter’s killer. 3. Justice League

2. Coco

Inspired by the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead, this new Pixar film follows a young boy, Dante, along with his dog as they suddenly go into the world of their dead. 1. Call Me By Your Name

Place in the summer of 1983 at town of Italy, an American scholar (Hammer) lives with a family during his exchange program. As he starts to aquatint himself inside the family and house, a hidden and forbidden relationship forms when 17 year-old Elio (Chalamet) falls to the scholar. Already the film is receiving Oscar buzz because of its portrayal of this forbidden love.
